JOB TITLE: Inventory Specialist

DEPARTMENT: Shipping/Receiving/Inventory

REPORTS TO: Shipping/Receiving/Inventory Lead

PURPOSE OF POSITION:
The purpose of this position in to maintain and control the Company's inventory. This position is responsible for receiving product from purchase orders and from the assembly departments, and recording the quantity counts, location, part number and part description. This position is also responsible for issuing appropriate quantity of requested parts to work orders and/or sales orders.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems beneficial.
• Minimum of one-year previous experience preferable in a manufacturing environment.
• Shipping and receiving experience and inventory processes knowledge preferred.
• Forklift experience preferred.DESCRIPTION OF JOB DUTIES:
  
  • Receives, counts, and stores stock items and records data, manually or using computer.
  • Records nature, quantity, value, or location of material, supplies, or equipment received, shipped, used, or issued to workers.
  • Locates and selects material, supplies, tools, equipment, or other articles from stock and issues item(s) to workers.
  • Packs, unpacks, and marks stock items, using identification tag, stamp, electric marking tool, or other labeling equipment.
  • Determines method of storage, identification, and stock location based on turnover environmental factors, and physical capacity of facility.
  • Verifies computations against physical count of stock, adjusts for errors, or investigates discrepancies.
  • Receives web-based sales orders, and picks/packs product based on order requirements.
  • Ships order as specified by shipping requirements on order.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisory or management personnel.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
