The GenH2 team of scientists and engineers possess decades of experience researching, engineering, and producing hydrogen solutions for the US DoD, DoE, NASA and leading universities. GenH2 aims to mass produce mid-size modular solutions to support a variety of end-use cases for land, air, sea, and space.The Fabrication and Assembly Technician works independently on projects and reports. The Technician must be proficient at problem solving and multitasking.Duties & Responsibilities--- Conduct first piece and in-process quality checks.--- Inspect work for accuracy.--- Monitor inventory and maintain stock.--- Maintain tooling inventory, equipment, and supplies.--- Review, investigation, and completion of required daily documentation.--- Follow all safety and company policies.--- Operate company forklifts, cranes, trailers, and other machines/equipment as required.--- Assure good housekeeping and machine maintenance practices.--- Inspect products to ensure that specifications are met and to determine if machines need adjustment.--- The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit and reach with hands and arms.--- The employee must frequently lift up to 70 pounds and frequently move/manipulate containers weighing up to 200 pounds.--- The employee must frequently exert pressure to tighten and loosen equipment.--- The employee will be exposed to frequent bending, stooping, and climbing.--- Under limited supervision, sets up, adjusts, and operates a variety of machine tools which may include numerical control/computerized numeric control lathes, mills, drills, computerized numerical control/numerical control and/or manual machines and other equipment.--- May be required to perform varying levels of shop maintenance associated with machining operations and perform inspection procedures to verify work.--- May use a wide range of measurement devices, procedures, and machining techniques, and program machines as required.--- You must be able follow precise work instructions while maintaining both accountability and accurate work documentation through a start to finish fabrication process.--- Works with other fabricators, and welders to ensure production demands meet the specified production schedule.--- Works daily task lists set out by Lead/Production Supervisor.--- Performs operational procedure according to required engineering specifications.--- Ensures workflow is tracked and on time through daily meetings.--- Reports any issues/delays in production line to Lead and ensures correction in a timely manner.--- Prepares and stages upcoming production builds before they enter the department.--- Inspects both raw materials and finished products for conformance to quality specifications.--- Assists in special projects and set up of fixtures as required.--- Performs other duties as assigned, this can include positions in physical/laborer departments such as Material Handling / Warehouse, Quality Control, Welding, Fabricating, and CNC Operations.--- Able to adapt to change.--- Must comply with all "drug free workplace" requirements as mandated by directives issued by the appropriate federal contracting officer and the company, which requires drug testing for use of illegal drugs by employees in sensitive positions.--- Must maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that fosters good relations with customers, clients, co-workers, and management. Education & Experience.--- Ability to read and understand Drawings --- Knowledge of various materials: composites, metals, stainless steel is a plus.--- The ability to perform quality checks on parts utilizing the proper instruments.--- Previous experience with fabrication equipment, and machines such as grinders, mills, etc.--- PC experience.--- High school diploma or equivalent is required.--- Valid driver's license.BenefitsWe pay 100% of all employees' health insurance premiums and 100% of the premium for their immediate family.
