Job Description:
The Space & Launch Division is seeking a Security Engineer for the NASA Space Launch System (SLS) Stage Controller Program.
This position is located in Titusville, Florida, and requires infrequent travel to multiple sites including both NASA Space Centers, Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC), John C. Stennis Space Center (SSC), and the Client Company in Huntsville, Alabama.
NASA's SLS is an advanced launch vehicle with its unprecedented capabilities, offering more payload mass, volume capability and energy to speed missions through space. SLS is designed to be flexible and evolvable and will open new possibilities for payloads, including robotic scientific missions to places like the Moon, Mars, Saturn and Jupiter.

This systems security position requires someone with excellent engineering capabilities, and presentations skills. You are passionate about cybersecurity, customer satisfaction, computer programming, quality, team building, and continuous process improvements. You have
background in software development and hardware integration for the purposes of being able to identify security concerns and for being able to communicate with hardware and software engineers. You will also integrate with a team of other security professionals.

Responsibilities:
--- Create security scripts in Bash or Python
--- Author testing procedures that verify the configuration of the information system
--- Execute, analyze and assess the results from vulnerability, integrity and malware scans.
--- Investigate security incidents and evaluate mitigations and remediation to prevent reoccurrence.
--- Perform security control risk assessments
--- Creates and makes presentations to other security professionals, stakeholders, client management, NASA representatives, Quality Assurance, and other interested parties.
--- Conducts security scans at the Titusville, Florida location.
--- Applies an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop and verify basic lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions with an emphasis on network, hardware, and software security.
--- Evaluates customer/operational needs to define system performance requirements, technical parameter integration, and compatibility of all physical, functional, and program interfaces from a security perspective.
--- Performs security analyses that provide safety, reliability, regulatory, certification, maintainability, testability, automation, human systems integration, vulnerability, and system security quality factors to ensure mission success.
--- Supports the planning, organization, implementation and monitoring of requirements management processes, tools, risks, issues, opportunity management, and technology readiness assessment processes with an emphasis on security.
