CHENEGA INFINITY, LLC Company Job Title:Criminal InvestigatorChenega Job Title:Analyst II, SecurityClearance:Must be able to obtain and maintain Secret clearanceLocation:Titusville, FLReports To:Lead Criminal InvestigatorFLSA Status:Exempt, Full Time, RegularPrepared Date:02-27-2020Approved Date:02-27-2020 Summary: The Criminal Investigator is an armed supervisor, who has successfully completed the required NASA training, with NASA Federal arrest authority and Federal Magistrate Training, whose duties may include but are not limited to, providing investigative support to conduct internal and special investigations.Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position)Required to follow all company personnel and safety policies, and perform all assigned duties in a safe work manner. Conduct administrative, security, and criminal investigations. Prepares written reports for submission to the Lead Criminal Investigator for all investigations. Must be able to work flexible hours to include weekends and holidays if needed Non-Essential Duties:Other duties as assigned Supervisory Responsibilities: NONE Minimum Qualifications: (To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.) Possession of relevant Associate's Degree and three years of investigative experience in law enforcement and/or military agency, or a high school diploma or GED and five years investigative experience in a law enforcement and/or military agency Successfully completed all training and have obtained all required permits, licenses, certifications and security/medical clearances for the site. Must possess and maintain a valid Florida driver---s license. Must be able to obtain a DoD security clearance, but not required to start. Must be able to maintain and qualify periodically on a course of fire with handgun, or other special weapons. Must be able to meet and maintain NASA Physical Certifications. Must be able to meet drug testing and alcohol --- free workforce requirements to include random drug and/or alcohol testing. In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification document form upon hire.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of standard office and administrative practices and procedures including business letter writing, records management, report preparation, and filing methods, correct English usage, including spelling, grammar, punctuation and vocabulary; modern office methods, equipment and procedures. Ability to provide varied technical and administrative assistance; use initiative and sound judgment within established guidelines; organize, coordinate, and prioritize a variety of assignments with varying deadlines; work effectively under pressure with frequent interruptions; handle difficult, confidential and sensitive assignments; organize and maintain a variety of confidential records, reports and files. Effective oral and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to organize and prioritize work. Skill in operating a personal computer and standard office equipment. Must have proficiency in a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database, (MSWord, Excel, Access, PowerPoint), and OutlookDemonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the criminal justice process. Ability to collect, examine and secure evidence from crime scenes.Ability to prepare criminal, administrative and sensitive investigative cases, testify in court and make presentations to senior staff.Ability to conduct interviews with suspects and witnesses.Knowledge and use of covert surveillance equipment.Skill in observing suspect activities undetected.Apply legal concepts, including use of force, search and seizure, and due process. Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Must successfully complete a pre-employment Basic Physical Abilities Test (BPAT) and annually thereafter as prescribed by the government. Basic Physical Abilities Test (BPAT) within 6 minutes, which consists of the following: From a seated position exit vehicle, open trunk, and grab baton-flashlight Complete 220-yard run Navigate an obstacle course [40 inch wall, three hurdles (24 inch, 12 inch, 18-inch-high), serpentine pylon maneuver, low crawl) - total length 115 feet] Complete 50-foot sprint Drag 150 lb dummy 50 feet (under arm carry or by 10-inch rope attached to collar area) Repeat obstacle course Repeat 220-yard run Return baton-flashlight to trunk and enter vehicle Time stops when employee is seated with both hands on the steering wheelNon-incumbent personnel must also complete a one (1) mile run in less than 10 minutes. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision. Work Environment: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The employee will normally work in a temperature-controlled office environment, with frequent exposure to electronic office equipment. During visits to areas of operations, may be exposed to extreme cold or hot weather conditions. Is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and loud noise.
