Job DescriptionSecureSpace is seeking a Temporary Store Manager to help manage the operations of a self-storage facility for 3 months with the potential to go full-time. The ideal candidate would be an energetic, friendly, and ambitious self-starter who is looking for optimal career growth potential at an exciting new company.Key Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Generating Revenue: The Store Manager will be responsible for meeting and exceeding sales objectives (both in person, over the phone, or based on internet leads), managing cash receipts and payments, collecting late fees, following up on outstanding balances, and the sales and inventory management of retail merchandise.
  • Leadership and Teamwork: The Store Manager will supervise and provide guidance to junior members of the team, lead by example with on the job training, perform regular performance reviews and evaluations, and invest in the development and growth of the team. The Store Manager will clearly and effectively communicate results, updates, and recommendations up to the District Manager or the Leadership Team.
  • Customer Service: The Store Manager will be the front-facing representative for SecureSpace and as such will need to provide the highest level of customer service. The Store Manager will create a welcoming environment for potential customers as well as current renters. The ability to consult, troubleshoot, and adapt will be essential for Store Managers to be effective problem-solvers. Taking great care of our patrons and providing them with a best-in-class experience at our facility will help us to build and propel our brand. We want to differentiate ourselves from the competition and our beautiful facilities and our amazing staff will be the key to our success.
  • Maintenance and Upkeep: The Store Manager will also spend a large portion of time each day monitoring and maintaining the facility walking through the facility to check for cleanliness and upkeep, sweeping the property, cleaning units, ensuring supplies are appropriately stocked, and performing other light maintenance tasks.       • Will need to move about inside the leasing office to access and operate computers and other office equipment
      • Will also need to move about the entire 1-acre property (both indoors and outdoors) for customer tours of the facility, to receive, move and restock inventory in boxes up to 50 pounds (on occasion), to position self for inspection and general maintenance tasks, to recognize potential maintenance, safety, and fire issues, and to operate roll up doors to storage units
      • Willing to do some travel (on occasion) to another location or work from home for certain scheduled shifts
      • Our office is open on weekends, but we are as flexible as possible with scheduling to help you achieve great work-life balance
      • Detail-oriented
