outpatients annuallyThe role you'll contributeThe Executive
Director manages operational, financial, and program activities for
the Organ Procurement Organization (OPO) and Tissue Bank,
overseeing staff and per diem personnel across divisions such as
Administrative, Organ Procurement, Hospital and Professional
Services, Quality and IT, Billing and Collections, Marketing,
Kidney Perfusion, Surgical Services, and Tissue Bank. This position
oversees a donation service area (DSA) covering 10 counties, 40
hospitals, and a population of millions, with responsibilities
including clinical management of deceased organ donors, organ
import/export, budget oversight, contract management, and
regulatory compliance.The value you'll bring to the teamScope of
Responsibility
- Manage overall operations ensuring compliance with CMS, OPTN,
and FDA standards
- Implement organization-wide performance improvement
strategies
- Maintain Advisory Board compliance
- Develop policies with Medical Director on organ allocation,
donor management, surgical recovery, hospital development, media
relations, and donor family services
- Foster relationships with transplant
programsCompliance/Regulatory Responsibility
- Follow policies on Corporate Compliance and Code of
Conduct
- Ensure adherence to all regulatory standards and reporting
requirements
- Educate staff on compliance mattersFinancial Responsibility
- Oversee annual operating and capital budgets
- Monitor costs and adjust acquisition fees as needed
- Approve expenditures and identify cost-saving
opportunitiesStrategic Planning
- Develop and maintain strategic departmental plans
- Build relationships with transplant hospitals and community
stakeholders
- Maintain 24/7 operational readinessPerformance Improvement
- Support and review QAPI initiatives
- Benchmark best practices and measure quality
indicatorsQualificationsThe expertise and experiences you'll need
to succeed:
- Bachelor's degree in a related health field
- At least 5 years management experience in organ
procurement
- Knowledge of OPO principles, practices, and
regulationsPreferred Education and Experience:
- Master's Degree in Healthcare Administration or related
field
- 10+ years management experience in organ procurementThis
