Job Description:
Position Summary MAG is looking for a Quality Manager to provide
leadership and management of the quality function in accordance
with all applicable company and U.S. Government regulations,
policies, and procedures. Responsible for ensuring that quality
program policies, plans, standards and requirements are met at our
facility. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Duties include, but
not limited to: * Work under minimal to self-directed guidance of
Division Director, sustaining and continually improving the Quality
Management System to satisfy all Customer, Regulatory, Safety and
Corporate requirements in the 14 CFR 145 Repair Station.
Operationally matrixed to Part 145 Accountable Manager / Director
of Maintenance. * Create, maintain and direct Quality Control
functions with a strong focus on required audits, and inspect to
sustain and continually improve the Quality Management System to
satisfy all Regulatory, AS9100, AS9102 First Article Inspection. *
Schedule, perform and provide guidance to Functional Managers on
all required audits. * Continually improve processes related to
Quality, business goals, and objectives. * Read and interpret
Quality processes and audits, Manufacturer''s Maintenance manuals,
Service Bulletins, technical data, and other specifications. *
Responsible for the development, training and standardization of
all employees to all quality requirements and audits as needed. *
Inspect to meet established inspection times without compromising
Quality. * Meet Quality auditing goals, objectives and established
corporate quality requirements. * Responsible for the quality of
audits and schedule adherence, as well as ensure quality fabricated
parts, sub-assemblies and installations and/or repairs to structure
components and avionics. * Ensure that appropriate levels of
Quality and compliance are met for all assigned work in a timely
and cost-effective manner. * Provide Quality engineering assistance
in fabrication, technical and Quality support as required. *
Perform manufacturing and maintenance Quality activities for the
effective management of organizational goals and objectives,
configuration and document controls, work package execution,
standard metrics within the department, and product quality. *
Verify that the specifications, manuals and other data used during
inspection procedures are current and approved for use by FAA
Repair Station. * Maintain positive professional relationships with
peers, licensor''s, customers, and regulatory authorities. * Lead
qualified individuals and direct report employees to duties as
assigned including leading teams as required. * Follow
Environmental Health and Safety Policy. * Follow applicable Federal
Regulations such as CFR 43, 65 & 145. * Verify the status of
calibrated tools to ensure that tools that are out of calibration
are not used. * Verify expiration dates on materials to ensure that
materials that are expired are not used. * Review work packages in
depth to ensure that all required documents are included in the
work order package and the package is complete. Requirements
Minimum Requirements: * Must have an e xcellent understanding of
FAA Part 145 regulations and AS9100D to ensure and conduct accurate
and timely auditing, Repair Station Manual/ Quality Manual and FAA
Approved Training Manual accuracy. * Five (5) years minimum,
Quality Assurance or Quality Engineering in an Aviation/Aerospace
environment. * Must have a dvanced knowledge of commonly used
concepts, practices, tools, and procedures within the commercial/
military aviation field. * Must be willing to work f ull-time and
on site. * Must be proficient with the English language. * Must be
proficient in the use of the various types of inspection aids and
test, measurement and diagnostic equipment, used for inspection. *
Must have the a bility to understand and follow the Repair Station/
Quality Control Manual and FAA approved Training Manual
requirements. * Must be familiar with all auditing and inspection
methods, techniques and equipment to determine the quality of
airworthiness on articles undergoing maintenance, preventative
maintenance, or alteration. * Must have e xpertise using various
type of inspection aids used for inspection * Must have and
maintain a valid U S passport Education / Certifications * Must
possess and maintain a FAA Airframe & Powerplant license. *
In-depth knowledge of AS9100, AS9102 First Article Inspection and
FAA Part 145 repair station procedures. Clearance * Ability to
obtain a DoD Secret Security Clearance Desired Requirements * Have
and maintain a FAA Inspection Authorization (IA) * External and
Internal Quality Auditor certification * Parts Manufacturer
Approval (PMA) training, certification, and experience Special
