Job Description:

Janssen Research and Development, L.L.C., a member of Johnson and Johnson's Family of Companies, is recruiting for a Director, Global Development Integration Management Office. The position can be located in Titusville, NJ; Raritan, NJ; Chesterbrook, PA; or Spring House, PA.

The Integration Management Office (IMO) is responsible for planning and driving successful and efficient integration of Licensing & Acquisition deals into Global Development. The Director is engaged pre-deal signing to ensure Day 1 readiness and post deal closure owns the integration oversight and partners with the various functions both within Global Development and beyond global development to plan and execute integration activities. This role is also the GD point of contact for all process, system, and corporate integrations into Janssen. The IMO brings a standardized approach to standard integration activities and brokers deal-specific solutions together with integration leads and key partners.

Principal Responsibilities

The IMO is responsible for overall planning & driving successful and efficient transition and integration of clinical stage compounds and trials stemming from Licensing & Acquisition deals into the Janssen Portfolio. Consults as integration activity SME with relevant staff engaged in early/pre-signing L&A deal evaluations across the portfolio/therapeutic areas
Ensures Day 1-readiness for Global Development to plan and execute an integration project (including relevant portfolio details, preliminary strategy, integration resource planning/budgeting, and assembling a cross-functional integration team)
Focuses on all aspects of operational integration including people, clinical operations/study processes, clinical data, and clinical systems
As a matrix leader, leads the Global Development Integration Team with functional integration leads from within GD as well as key essential partners outside GD such as quality, safety/pharmacovigilance, regulatory affairs, and procurement/finance
Actively drives, coaches, and oversees functional resources aligned to an integration project
Drives overall operational trial integration into Janssen:
Develops the integration strategy by study/indication/compound with relevant functional leaders and key stakeholders
Oversees creation of appropriate documentation for integration activities
Brokers cross-functional deal-specific solutions with key stakeholders and leaders
Oversees creation and timely execution of the holistic clinical integration plan and manages the interdependencies together with the functional integration leads and key partners
Ensures timely and high-quality transition of clinical data & clinical systems with relevant integration leads
Creates and manages the operational integration budget and resourcing planning with finance partners and functional BusOps groups
Represents Global Development as a single point of contact for key partner-driven integration activities and broader Company-level integration teams
Ensures fundamentals of a learning organization are implemented for integrations, including lessons learned, best practices, continuous improvement and development of a consistent and efficient approach to execute standard integration activities
Active participation in the Strategic Business Operations leadership team and leads key initiatives supporting change management, communications, and project management to ensure efficient delivery of Global Development priorities

Principal Relationships
Primary Interfaces: Integration Leaders from Global Development Functions (Including PDO, IDAR, QS, GCO, EBIS, PMO), GD Business Development Lead, Integration Leads from functions outside GD (eg, Quality, Safety, Regulatory, Procurement, Finance, HR, Corporate L&A team)
Secondary interfaces: study teams, operational leaders from target Company, CRO and external business partners, senior leadership in GD

A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent is required. An advanced degree (eg, Masters, MBA, PhD) is preferred.
A minimum of 10 years industry is preferred clinical drug development and/or clinical operations.
Trusted, inclusive, leader with demonstrated experience in managing and mentoring global, cross functional matrix teams and a proven ability to foster team productivity and cohesiveness.
Excellent communication and influencing skills and ability to establish strong relationships in a global matrix environment
Strong negotiation and problem solving skills with appropriate buy-in and endorsement
Solid knowledge of global regulatory, quality and logistical aspects of global and local clinical trial conduct and oversight is required
Prior experience with L&A activities/integrations is preferred, working knowledge of L&A activities is required.
Experience in creating/overseeing and executing complex project plans on time and within budget is required

Willingness and ability to travel up to 15-20% of the time, defined by business needs
