Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Engineer
Systems to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within
our Systems Engineering organization. This role is located in
Melbourne, FL. This individual will participate in the definition,
design, integration, and verification of complex systems-of-systems
architecture by leveraging Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
experience. The successful candidate will apply MBSE principles and
tools to create and manage rigorous, reusable system models that
drive requirements traceability, architecture development, and
impact analysis across the product lifecycle. This role partners
closely with cross-functional teams—including hardware, software,
firmware, test, and program management—to ensure that system
designs meet performance, cost, schedule, and risk objectives. The
individual will support the application of commercial technologies
to operational military use cases, including advanced
communications, machine learning, and future wireless technologies
in support of advanced battle management capabilities. The
qualified candidate must thrive in a fast-paced, team environment,
be comfortable multi-tasking and reprioritizing daily, contribute
to whitepapers and proposals, develop PowerPoint presentation
content, and self-learn with minimal direction. Key
Responsibilities: Define and maintain MBSE process standards and
best practices, and champion MBSE adoption across engineering
teams. Develop and refine system architectures and models using
SysML or equivalent tools to capture system behavior, interfaces,
and performance. Perform trade studies, architecture assessments,
and model-based simulations to support design decisions. Manage
requirements by capturing, decomposing, allocating, and tracing
them throughout the model lifecycle, ensuring traceability to
verification and validation. Generate design specifications and
coordinate integration activities to ensure consistency and manage
changes. Derive test cases and procedures from model requirements
and support verification and validation through model-based
analysis. Maintain model repositories, apply version control, and
manage configuration of model artifacts. Facilitate design reviews,
produce clear documentation and presentations, and communicate
complex system concepts to stakeholders. Identify opportunities for
automation, implement tooling enhancements, and evaluate emerging
MBSE technologies for adoption Benefits Statement: We offer

better at what we do. Basic Qualifications (Engineer Systems) :
Must have a Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM (Science,
Technology, Engineering, or Math) discipline AND 2 years of related
professional/military experience, OR a Master of Science degree in
a STEM discipline AND 0 years of related professional/military
experience, OR a STEM Ph.D. AND 0 year of related
professional/military experience. Your ability to transfer and
maintain the final adjudicated government Secret clearance (DoD
must be in-scope or enrolled in Continuous Evaluation) and any
program access(es) required for the position within a reasonable
period of time, as determined by the Company. Must have the ability
to work independently and identify solutions to complex problems.
Must have experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
techniques and tools within the Systems Engineering life cycle.
Must have the ability to work well across multiple engineering
disciplines. Must have excellent oral and written communication
skills and strong interpersonal skills. Preferred Qualifications:
Top Secret Clearance Primary Level Salary Range: $77,200.00 -
$115,800.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline;
however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when
determining base salary offers such as the scope and
responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience,
education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the
position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift
differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as
well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in
Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term
Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of
benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability
insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off
(PTO) for vacation and/or personal business. The application period
