The Electronics Engineer is responsible for designing, testing,
and integrating Avionics subsystems. These subsystems are critical
to mission success, spanning multiple teams and systems. This
engineer works on a highly collaborative, multi-discipline team
developing cutting-edge solutions for edge-of-space
applications.Core Accountabilities and Essential Functions ---
Develop new platform capabilities by designing and integrating new
avionics solutions for human-rated stratospheric application. ---
Collaborate on a cross-functional team to capture requirements and
interface specifications. --- Full life cycle development. ---
Develop test solutions, methodology, and fixturing. --- Assist with
the development of platform grounding solutions for high altitude
vehicles. --- Work with stakeholders to ensure cross-system
concerns are identified and addressed. --- Lead design reviews and
incorporate feedback. --- Participate in design reviews for other
systems. --- Rigorous test and integration of avionics with all
interfacing systems or subsystems.Required Education and Experience
--- 4-year degree from an ABET-accredited college or university in
electrical, Computer, or Aerospace Engineering. --- A minimum of 3
years of relevant experience designing and testing aviation or
space-related mission or flight computer systems. --- A minimum of
3 years of experience designing of integrating modular
- Hands-on lab experience troubleshooting and testing electrical
- Prior experience with analog design, high power systems, and
platform grounding solutions.
- Proficiency with data acquisition tools, hardware, and software
for lab and mission logging.
- Ability to create and own Interface Control Documents.
- Knowledgeable writing scripts or using simulation tools to
model and rapidly iterate designs.
- Experience designing and testing mission-critical systems.
- Excellent technical communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability and willingness to work long hours/weekends when
