Job Description Job Description Degree in Physical Therapy, active Physical Therapist license and 1 year of Physical Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A full-time Physical Therapist position is open within a K-12 school district in Tavares, FL, serving a diverse student population across 16 schools. This contracted role runs through the end of May 2026 and requires on-site presence. The therapist will support approximately 100 students countywide, with caseloads spread across multiple elementary, middle, and high schools. Key Responsibilities: Deliver physical therapy services to students following individualized education plans (IEPs) and district protocols Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to promote student progress and inclusion Conduct assessments and maintain accurate documentation in compliance with district and state requirements Participate in district onboarding, including completion of credentialing and procedural agreements Adhere to scheduled work hours, approximately 37.5 hours per week with an 8-hour day plus unpaid break Qualifications and Desired Experience: Valid professional physical therapy license School-based experience preferred but not required Strong communication and organizational skills to manage caseload across multiple sites Ability to adapt to changing schedules and a variety of school environments Location: Tavares, Florida On-site in multiple schools throughout the district Benefits and Perks: Competitive pay scale based on experience, ranging from $42 to $54 per hour depending on years in school settings Structured onboarding process to ensure smooth integration into the district Supportive team environment working with committed educational professionals This opportunity offers a professional setting to apply physical therapy skills directly within educational environments.
