Industrial Engineer II - Manufacturing Operation position
supporting our CNS (Communication, Navigation, and Surveillance)
product lines in our Melbourne, FL facility. In this role, you will
make an impact by evaluating and solving everyday manufacturing
problems related to design, process, and supplier issues for the
manufacture of high-quality electronic assemblies. You will provide
technical support to operations in the form of enabling and
improving the flow of manufacturing utilizing the LEAN principles.

candidate will also have a passion for LEAN principles and
processes and be eager to contribute to improved efficiency and
productivity, and Test Yield. You will make a significant
contribution to developing, verifying, and sustaining assembly and
test processes, test equipment, and test procedures that will be
used in the manufacturing of new and existing products. WHAT YOU
WILL DO: - Participate in cross-functional team efforts to improve
test yields, production throughput, test capacity, and overall
product Quality. /n - Identify component test failure trends and
perform root cause analysis. Implement corrective actions to
resolve. Prepare test failure analysis reports as required for
production. /n - Study performance and reliability of existing test
equipment and establish programs and solutions for decreasing test
equipment downtime. /n - Analyze test approach, plans, and
processes for cost reduction, test efficiency, test yields, and
manufacturing test capacity opportunities. /n - Provide capacity
planning and utilization analysis for accurate staffing and
identify new and optimize approaches that will minimize production
staffing needs and capital requirements. /n - Select and order
capital test equipment using sound cost/payback analysis. Generate
and track Appropriation Requests. /n - Improve existing test
fixtures and equipment needed to improve test performance. /n -
Participates in Production Readiness Reviews to determine
suitability of new designs for production. /n - Support efforts to
conduct gage R&R efforts on new test solutions to verify
consistent product and equipment performance. Drive manufacturing
process improvements across multiple assembly process steps /n -
Analyze and understand factory needs and requirements. /n - Conduct
Process Flow analysis and make improvements. /n - Develop tools
that enable manufacturing or increase production rates. /n -
Implement Procedure and process improvements based on safety,
quality, and productivity. /n - Improve production facilities and
equipment layouts /n WHAT YOU WILL LEARN: - Enhance your technical
skills for the entire product assembly and test process, board
level through top-level assemblies. /n - Improve & Maintain SOP and
Test documentation for current configuration and oversee accurate
change management procedures for all MFG documents. /n - Gain
practical experience with Lean Manufacturing /n - Enhance your
skill with Learn MFG Flow optimization, Line balancing and OEE. /n
QUALIFICATIONS YOU MUST HAVE: - Typically requires a University
Degree and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an
Advanced Degree in a related field or in absence of a degree, 6
years of relevant experience /n - Manufacturing and or electrical
component trouble-shooting experience /n QUALIFICATIONS WE PREFER:
- Lean manufacturing experience. /n - Experience with equipment and
factory layouts. /n - Problem-solving skills with ability to
proactively identify alternate solutions to overcome difficult
technical challenges. /n - Effective communication and
interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with

68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith
estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers
